Breaking: Covid-19: Ibarapa Central records 21 fresh cases, as Gov Makinde announces 191 new cases in Oyo State

Engr. Seyi Makinde has announced 191 new cases of Covid-19 in Oyo State, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 2497 in the state.
The governor gave the covid-19 updates for July 24 2020 through his official Twitter handle.
“Twenty-two confirmed COVID-19 cases received their second NEGATIVE test results and have been discharged. This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to 1146.
“Also, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for 191 suspected cases came back POSITIVE. The cases are from Iseyin (55), Lagelu (37), Ibarapa Central (21), Egbeda (11), Oyo East (9), Ibadan North (8), Orelope (8), Afijio (6), Ona Ara (6), Ogbomosho South (6), Ogbomosho North (4), Ido (4), Ibadan North West (3), Oluyole (3), Atiba (3), Oyo West (3), Ibadan South West (1), Ibadan North East (1), Akinyele (1) and Ibadan South East (1) Local Government Areas. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State today is 2497.
“Sadly, we had two COVID-19 related deaths in the state. So, the total number of deaths in Oyo State is twenty-four.” the governor said.
There is 21 fresh cases of COVID-19 in Ibarapa Central. The total confirmed cases in the local government area are now 37.
Recall that on July 10, Governor Makinde had announced the first case of COVID-19 in Ibarapa central.
As of July 23, 2020, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ibarapa region is 54. (16 in Ibarapa North, 1 in Ibarapa East, 37 in Ibarapa Central), while the total for Oyo state is 2497, as announced by the governor.
It would also be recalled that on June 17th, governor Makinde announced the confirmation of COVID-19 cases in Ibarapa region, since then the cases have increased to 54.
